GAME SUMMARY
The Athletics' RJ Pingitore's safety squeeze with 1 out and runners on 1st and 3rd in the top of the 8th inning pushed across the go ahead run to allow the Albany Athletics to defeat the Albany Thunder in game 2 of the League Championship Series. The series is now tied 1-1 after both games went extra innings and were decided by two runs.    The A's also scored an insurance run when Nate Novak scored from second base on an attempted 6-4-3 double play to end the inning but the runner heading to first was safe..   Lefthander Joe Pokrentowski went 5.2 innings, gave up 3 hits and 1 earned run while striking out 6 batters. Righthander Derek Duval was called upon with two outs and runners on 1st and 2nd base in the bottom of the 6th inning and induced a fly out to escape the jam. Duval picked up the win with 2.1 innings pitched, 1 hit and struck out 4 batters.    Meanwhile, Dan Barbero Jr doubled in the Thunder's only run in the 4th. Lefthander Diogene Polo tossed a complete game with 4 strikeouts and 3 earned runs.
