CPH Gators 2023 Summary:   The Clifton Park-Halfmoon Gators (CPH Gators) had the fortunate opportunity to be given an Albany Twilight League Franchise (ATL) for the 2023 Season.  The Gators have been in existence for over 10 years offering baseball teams in the 13U to 18U age groups.  A typical season for the Gators is to have anywhere from 5-8 teams running.  The original goal of the program was to merge the Clifton Park Baseball League and the Halfmoon Baseball League into one program at the 13U level as both organizations will funnel up to ultimately play for Shenendehowa’s school team (Shen).    The Gators model is to utilize the Shen’s coaching staff and ex-Shen Players to run the different age groups and teams.  This has been a very successful model and has kept many players local to Clifton Park and has made the Gators a very competitive team in each age group.  Traveling throughout the Northeast playing the best competition there is to find.  Adding the ATL Franchise now allows a player to be able to play in the Gators program until their playing days are done.    The first-year roster will be littered with Gators coaches and Ex-Gators players who still have that desire to keep playing ultra-competitive baseball.  Gators followers will recognize names like Mulligan, Jones, Palko, Barkevich, Fraser, Perry and many others who have worn the Gators colors either in the dugout or on the field.  The Gators also come with access to two lighted fields at the Clifton Commons.  This venue will expand the ATL’s reach and allow for the younger Gators teams the opportunity to watch some of the top baseball the Capital District has to offer.   As has been the case for all the Gators teams, the ATL version will put a high level, hardworking, talented group of players on the field.  We expect the successes at the younger ages will translate to positive results in the Albany Twilight League.
