Capital City Slams Nationals in Home Opener 9-8
Tha Capital City Kings scored 2 runs in the first inning on a walk hit batter single and balk off National starter Max Perotta. The Nationals responded with back to back singles by Nic Thomas and Nic Dibrino and long home run by Carlos Santos to grab a 3-2 lead. The Kings got a 3 run homer from Nic Schaub in the 3rd for a 5-3 lead. The Nationals tied the game in the 4th on a homer by Gabe Morello and a rbi single from Tommy Moore. The Kings got a grand slam with 2 outs and 2 strikes from A. Schaub in the bottom of the 6th off losong Nationals pitcher EJ Birch. The Nationals responded with 3 runs in the top of the 7th on a single from Tommy Moore a 2nd Sants home run and a solo shot from Gabe Gabustic. Crowley went 5 innings for the Kings. Tyrell Vizirus fitched the final 2 innings and picked up the win. |
