ALBANY ATHLETICS: In 2022, the A's captured a record 6th straight league title and 12th overall--more than any team in the league's 91 years. In 2021, the Athletics became the first team in league history to record a perfect regular season of 23-0 then captured the league championship going 5-0 in the playoffs. The team captured the 2012 and 2016 AABC World Series titles with the former coming on a walk off homerun in the bottom of the 9th inning vs Tampa in Port St. Lucie, FL 11 years ago. They have a three-time league MVP in Nate Novak and All Star pitcher Chris Salamida to go along with a bevy of other outstanding veterans and college players aiming for another title. Manager Joe Altieri enters his 27th year in amateur baseball and is the winningest manager in league history with a 439-112 league record (.800)--150 more wins than the next coach. He is assisted by Mark Teson, former longtime player from 2000-2012.
