GAME SUMMARY

Waterford Nationals  Beat Albany Athletics  

Waterford Nationals   were triumphant over Albany Athletics   6-2 on Sunday.

Waterford Nationals   got on the board in the top of the first inning after James Dixon singled down the left field line, Zac Mravlija grounded into a fielder's choice, and Cam Rhude lined out, each scoring one run.

Waterford Nationals   added two runs in the third after Mravlija doubled down the left field line.

Albany Athletics   scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh on a home run to right field by Jake Sparks on the sixth pitch of the at-bat.

Dylan Becker earned the win his 6th on the season,  for Waterford Nationals  . The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out seven and walking none. Devin Campbell took the loss for Albany Athletics  . The pitcher went five innings, allowing five runs (three earned) on seven hits, striking out three and walking two.

Waterford Nationals   piled up nine hits in the game. Dixon and CJ Franchini were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Waterford Nationals  while hitting back-to-back. Mravlija provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Waterford Nationals   with two runs batted in. The center fielder went 1-for-3 on the day.
