GAME SUMMARY
***  GAME 3  -  SEMI-FINAL SERIES  -  Senators vs. Nationals  ***     Alex Chandler hit a 2-run home run, his 2nd of these playoffs, to break a tie in the top of the 8th inning of the third and decisive game of this semi-final series between the Albany Senators and the Waterford Nationals.  The Senators had scored first in the 5th inning of this well played game on a Dan Coleman fielders-choice, which scored Fausto Franco, who had led off the inning with a base hit and had advanced to 3B.  The Nationals were held scoreless for six innings by Senators starter Carter Knapek and reliever Christian Garcia.  However, the National's threatened in the 7th when Senators closer Joey Moore started off the inning by loading the bases on the first three batters he faced.  He managed to escape with giving up only the tying run due to two sparkling plays, first by shortstop Dan Colman, and the inning ending play made by 2nd baseman Brett Young that prevented the winning run from scoring, and forced the game into extra innings. The other semi-final series between the Albany Athletics and the Albany Thunder is tied 1-1, and the deciding game is scheduled for Friday, July 26th.  The Senators will face the winner of that series in the ATL Championship Series. SENATORS: Knapek, C., Garcia (5), Moore, J.-WP (7), and Moore, T.     /////     NATIONALS: Travis-LP, Houle (7), and Job.
