The Troy Haymakers held off a 7th inning rally by Capital City Kings to take 7-6 win. The Kings were the first to get on the board in the 2nd when Ryan O'Keefe drew a walk, scoring one run. In the bottom of the 2nd, a double by Josh Ryan scored two to give Troy a 2-1 lead. In the top of the 3rd, the Kings’ Kyle Kristal stole home, tying the games 2-2. The Haymakers regained the lead in the bottom of the inning when Lex Aragona drew a walk, scoring one run, giving Troy a 3-2 lead. Cap City’s Kyle Ruth singled to drive in a run in the top of the 5th, tying the score 3-3. In the bottom of the 5th, Argona drove in a run on a sacrifice fly, then Troy took advantage of an infield error to score two more, taking the lead 6-3. They stretched that to 7-3 in the 6th when Gianni DiCerbo drove home a run with a single. The Kings started the top of the 7th with an infield out, then got runners on base. Bill Creighton drove home two with a single, then with two outs and the bases loaded, was forced in on a walk to make it 7-6. Troy forced a final final ground to end the rally and seal the win.
