Justin Germain collected three hits in four at bats, including a 2-run homer, as the Troy Haymakers defeated the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Gators 8-1 on Thursday. Troy pitcher Cole Miller struck out 13 batters over six innings, giving up two hits. The Haymakers opened the scoring in the 1st inning when Gianni DiCerbo singled, scoring one run. They bunched together some hits in the 3rd inning to add three runs, making it 4-0. Germain's homer in the 4th made it 6-0, then Noah Joly added a 2-run homer in the 5th to increase the lead to 8-0.
