| The Athletics' Austin Francis hit a bases loaded single in the bottom of the 7th to score the game winning and propel the Albany Athletics to a 3-2 victory over the Albany Thunder who were 9-0 heading into the game. Righthanded brothers Ryan and Kyle Lambert combined for a six hitter with Ryan going 5 innings and yielding 2 earned runs, 5 hits, and striking out 3 while Kyle went 2 innings yielding 1 hit and striking out 5 batters for the win. The Thunder got on the board in the first inning when Johan Sandoval smacked a two-run homer. The A's responded with an RBI triple from Austin Rachiele then got a sac fly a batter later from Craig Mastroianni. Rachielle finished with a double and triple while Nate Novak and Red Maron each doubled. For the Thunder, Junior Martinez singled twice. |
