| Albany Athletics lefthander Spencer Brown tossed six innings, gave up just five hits, two earned runs and struck out eight batters to lead the A's to a 7-2 victory over the Troy Haymakers. Jake Sparks helped the A's get the scoring started with a two-run double in the first inning while Craig Mastroianni doubled in a pair of runs in the third inning to lead the offense. Brown, meanwhile, escaped a no-out jam with a runner on in the 2nd inning, then escaped trouble again with no outs and two runners on in the 4th inning. However, in the 6th, the Haymakers got a bases loaded 2-run single from Antonio Archina to close to 7-2. Victor Cardona finished with two singles for Troy. |
