GAME SUMMARY |
Albany's Chris Salamida threw a one-hit shutout and struck out 10 batters to lead the #1 seeded Albany AThletics to a 6-0 victory over #4 seeded Capital City Kings in the first game of their best-of-three semifinals series. Salamida only allowed a bloop double to right field in the 3rd inning by Addison Schaub who hustled sliding into second base on a close play. The Athletics got on the board in the 2nd inning on an RJ Pingitore RBI single then followed with a sac fly RBI from Greg Sulz in the 3rd to make it 2-0. Craig Mastroianni doubled in a run in the 5th then Cam Overbaugh capped off the scoring with a three-run homer in the 6th inning. Mastroianni and Tim Carroll each finished with a double and single on the night. |
