The Athletics 'Craig Mastroianni collected four hits and 11 RBI to help the Albany Athletics explode late in the game for a 29-9 victory over the Troy Haymakers. Mastroianni broke a 3-3 tie in the second when he singled in two runs, then in the third inning, he blasted a three-run homerun. In the sixth inning alone, Mastroianni singled in two more runs and hit a grand slam to spark an 11-run rally. Nate Novak smacked a two-run double, two-run homer and solo homer in the game and Cam Overbaugh recorded five hits, including a three run homerun, to go with five RBI. Greg Sulz and Antony Mantova each had a double and two singles in the game. Albany relinquished a 3-0 lead in the first when Troy's Nick Jacques hit a two-run single and Dylan McNerny singled in a run to tie the game. Despite the A's building a 14-3 lead, the Haymakers pulled to 14-9 in the fifth inning when Mike Graves hit a three-run homer. Graves finished with a homerun, single and double while McNerny hit a solo homer, single and had two RBI. |
