GAME SUMMARY
Steve DeLuca homered with two outs in the top of the 7th to tie the game at 3-3 then Chris Salamida singled in two runs to snap an 8th inning tie and propel the Athletics to a 10-3 victory in 8 innings over the Troy Haymakers.   Salamida got the Athletics on the board in the top of the first inning with a solo homer. Down 3-1, he came on in relief in the 5th inning and tossed four shutout innings striking out 11 batters and giving up two hits.     Troy built a 3-1 lead with an sac fly RBI by Nick Jacques in the first inning, an RBI single by Kyle Bestle in the second inning and an RBI groundout by Mike Graves in the third inning to back lefthander Mike Pastore. Pastore gave up just two runs, four hits, and struck out four before leaving the game with the tying runs on in the 6th.  Lefthanded reliever Dylan McNerney induced a sac fly and groundout to preserve a 3-2 lead at the time. However DeLuca hit a first pitch fastball over the left field fence with two outs to tie the game and force extras.   Albany's Austin Lawrence singled to lead off the 8th and came around on Salamida's 2-run single.  Lawrence also had a key two-run double in the inning to add to the Athletics lead. Nate Novak singled and doubled for the A's as well.    Graves singled and doubled for Troy who have lost their first two games of the season in extra innings.
