A's lefthander Matt Snyder fanned 12 batters and gave up 4 hits for a complete game shutout leading the Albany Athletics to a 9-0 victory over the Troy Haymakers. Craig Mastroianni and Nate Novak singled in runs in a four-run 2nd inning. Novak also singled to collect two hits on the day. Alex Jurczynski singled in two runs in the 7th inning to cap off the A's scoring. Cam Overbaugh doubled, drove in a run and scored three times. Mike Graves and Sean McLoughlin each doubled for Troy but were stranded at second base in each inning. Despite the loss, the Haymakers are off to one of their best starts in recent years with four wins in their first six games. |
