| Albany catcher Nick Hansen sparked two rallies with an RBI single in the 2nd inning and 2-run double in the 3rd inning to lead the Albany Athletics to a 4-2 victory over the Troy Haymakers. With the win, the Athletics win their 14th consecutive regular season championship and earn the #1 seed in the upcoming playoffs. On the mound, A's righthander Kyle Lambert tossed five innings giving up three hits and one earned run while striking out seven batters for the win. Lefthander James Rubino tossed two hitless innings in relief striking out two batters to earn the save. For Troy, Evan Grimes singled in a run with the bases loaded in the first inning but Lambert escaped the jam and didn't allow Troy to plate anyone else. In the third inning, the Haymakers again put runners on base but Lambert induced an inning ending double play with two runners on. |
