GAME SUMMARY
The defending League Champion Albany Athletics opened the 2019 campaign similar to their 2018 campaign with a committee of pitchers combining to hurl a no-hitter and propel the Athletics to a 13-0 victory over the newest Twilight League member, Twin Town Devilcats at Bleecker Stadium.    Joe Pokrentowski, Ricky Umholtz, Zach Breen, Nick Zuba, and Chris Salamida combined for a 15-strikeout no-hitter to give the A's its 14th straight opening day victory. Breen was part of a 12-strikeout opening day no-hitter in 2018 (with Bryan Carr and JJ Pearsall).     Nate Novak got the A's on the board in the first inning with an RBI single and later singled in a run and doubled.  Dan Barbero hit a solo homer in the third inning and singled. Greg Sulz knocked in three runs with a fifth inning double and then doubled in another run in the sixth inning. Cam Overbaugh singled twice as well.    Twin Town had a chance to tie the game in the top of the third with one out as they drew three walks to load the bases, trailing 3-0. But Breen came on to strikeout the final two batters and quell the rally.
