| Craig Mastroianni tripled in three runs in a sixth inning rally to lead the Albany Athletics to a 7-2 victory over the ALbany Senators in the opener of an Albany Twilight League doubeheader at Bellizzi Field in Albany. Mastroianni also doubled in the A's first run in the 4th inning and singled to finish 3-for-3 on the day. Nate Novak singled twice, drove in a run and scored twice. Lefthander Chris Salamida not only threw a complete game, struck out nine, and gave up two earned runs and just six hits on the mound, but he also singled twice and drove in a run at the plate. For the Senators, Alex Koshgarian doubled home a run in the 5th then doubled in another run in the 7th inning while Chace Crawford singled twice to lead the offense. |
