GAME SUMMARY
In a surprise move reported just before the first pitch, the Hawks called on reserve pitcher Mike Nowak to direct traffic from the third base box. Nowak proved his worth immediately as the Hawks recorded seven runs in the first inning. A one hit wonder he was not, Nowak pounced again in the second inning orchestrating a four run frame. The Hawks seemed to feed off of the flow of Nowak on their way to 14 runs.  CJ Sohl manned the hill for the Hawks. He tossed 6 innings while allowing 1 run.  Alex Chandler bought in to Nowak's philosophy on his was to 3 hits, 3 RBIs and 1 run scored. The rookie third base coach also pushed Bob Peluso realize his potential, Peluso stood out with 3 hits, 3 runs, and a run driven in.
