GAME SUMMARY
If you found yourself at Bleecker Stadium on Friday night, you witnessed two outstanding pitching performances. The Hawks took on the Albany Thunder in a match that included just 3 total hits. Tyler Clifford held the Thunder at bay with a brilliant blend of pitches while the defense was sound behind him. The Thunder offense managed 2 hits and were unable to record a run as Clifford went the distance for the win. Chris Yager refused to allow the Thunder to go quietly as he would not be outdueled. Yager silenced the Hawks bats for the majority of the game. Bob Peluso singled off Yager in the 2nd inning and that would be the only noise the Hawks would make. Yager fell victim to a walk and multiple errors in the first inning. The Hawks were able to manufacture 2 runs without a hit in the frame. Both pitchers cruised through the remainder of the game yielding a 2-0 Hawks victory.   The Hawks improve to 2-3 on the young season as The Thunder fall to 1-4.
