Thomas leads Nationals to 3-2 win over Cap City
Nick Thomas hit a 2 run home run in the top of the 7th inning to give the Waterford Nationals a 3-2 win over the Capital City Kings. Ryan Ensel improved to 2-0 throwing a complete game while striking out 7 and giving only up 4 hits. Nolan Duda picked up 2 hits and Brendon Kruzinski hit a double in his Twilight League debut. The Kings strung together 2 hits in the bottom of the 7th inning to close within 1 run. Capital city was led by Ryan O'Keefe who was 2/2 but suffered the loss of star Billy Creighton who fractured his wrist as he dove for and caught a bases 2 out line drive in the 2nd. Brett Sarnowski took the loss in relief of Pat Landers after 2. The Nationals improve to 2-1 on the season and play next on Tuesday (6/4) night at 7:15 PM.
