GAME SUMMARY
The Albany Athletics turned a 1-0 deficit and 6-2 lead into a blowout 16-2 win over the Albany Thunder.   After the Thunder took a 1-0 lead on an infield error in the 1st inning, the A's Austin Lawrence doubled in two runs to make it 2-1. Lawrence also doubled in a run in the 6th inning as well.    In the 2nd inning, the A's capitalized on two Thunder errors and an RBI single by Craig Mastroianni to score four runs and take a 6-1 lead. The Thunder made it 6-2 in the 3rd after scoring on a wild pitch but left runners on 2nd and 3rd.    The Thunder squandered a chance to get back in the game in the top of the 4th when they loaded the bases loaded with one out but A's reliever Bryan Carr wiggled out of the jam. In the bottom half, Greg Sulz singled in a run for the A's to make it 7-2.    In the 5th, the Thunder had another opportunity to get in the game with the first two runners reaching base on an error and walk but Carr quelled the rally. Sulz then struck again in the bottom half with a two-run single to make it 9-2. He finished 2-for-3 with 3 RBI. Nate Novak also doubled in two runs in the inning and finished with two doubles, two RBI.  Dan Barbero capped the scoring with a three-run homer in the 6th.    A's pitcher JJ Pearsall, Bryan Carr and Zach Breen held the Thunder to two hits and one earned run while striking out nine batters.    For the Thunder, Juan Fuentes led off the game with a double and scored the first run.
