| A's Lefthander Matt Snyder threw a complete game two-hitter striking out 11 batters to lead the Albany AThletics to an 8-2 victory over Waterford Nationals in an Albany Twilight League game at Kelts Field in Waterford. The Athletics snap the Nationals 10-game win streak in the process and also re-take first place overall in the Twilight League, just 24 hours after the Nationals moved into first place. Cam Overbaugh hit a 2-run single and Nate Novak an RBI single to highlight a six-run second inning. Novak also singled in two runs in the 6th to cap the scoring for the A's. Both he and Overbaugh each finished with two singles each. Dan Barbero also singled in a run in the six-run rally. Snyder meanwhile didn't give up his first hit until there was one out in the 6th and Ivan Plata singled. The Nationals rallied for two runs in the sixth thanks to an RBI triple from Nick Duda and an infield error to push Duda across. |
